Ryan Chapman
Owner/Director of Player Development
Ryan Chapman
Ryan Chapman is the owner and director of player development of Chapman Baseball Compound (CBC). He has been conducting private instruction since 2009 as a senior in high school. Chapman played baseball at Tustin High School where he received a scholarship to Cal Poly Pomona as a catcher. After Cal Poly Ryan decided to transfer to Santa Ana College to pitch in 2010. After pitching for Santa Ana for two years Ryan went on to get drafted by the New York Mets in the 33rd round of the 2013 amateur baseball draft. After two years with the Mets, Ryan decided to retire and pursue CBC full time. Since retiring from the game Ryan has been heavily involved with the Irvine Rox baseball club in Irvine, coaching his own 14U team and being involved with three others as well.
Ryan has taken what he has learned over the past 15 years of baseball experience and has blended it with the multiple disciplines of: physiology, exercise science, bio-mechanics, and physics. Some of the coaching that makes Ryan unique is his assessment of the player and what coaching strategy should be employed to get the best out of the athlete on the field. Ryan has conducted training with over 500 different athletes since 2009. Ryan has expertise in pitching, hitting, and strength training.
Chad Jacob
Director of Hitting/ Director of Business Operations
Chad Jacob
Chad Jacob is our Director of Hitting/Director of Business Operations. He played Division 1 baseball at Valparaiso University, where he was a 4 year starter and graduated with a degree in finance. After going through CBC’s college summer program in 2017, he wanted to come back and pursue training athletes at CBC full time.
Chad strives to develop hitters of all backgrounds. He’s worked with MLB all-stars, international superstars, all the way down to pre-high school hitters that have a thirst for getting better. He utilizes a data-driven approach in his teaching methods, as he’s able to track trends and find patterns to help hitters really find out what it is they need to work on. Due to his many experiences, this ultimately gives him the unique ability to connect with players of all ages, both on and off the field.
Ryan Aguirre
Director of Strength & Conditioning
Ryan Aguirre
RJ is our director of Strength&Conditioning. He comes to us from Dominguez Hills and has his BA in Kinesiology. In his baseball playing career, he went to Anaheim high school, and then decided to go the juco route after he graduated. From juco, he ended up transferring and playing the infield at Vanguard University. He finished his playing career at Marymount California University. He has a very diverse background in the weight room, as he has worked with several facilities in Southern California. RJ is someone who is extremely hungry to learn, and strives to get the most out of each athlete. He works with athletes of all sports and backgrounds
Alyssa Marquez
Office Manager
Alyssa Marquez
Alyssa Marquez is the Office Manager at Chapman Baseball Compound. Alyssa graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelors in Communication Studies and a Minor in Public Relations.
Here at Chapman Baseball Compound, Alyssa provides clients with all the information they need to know regarding their athletes development and handles memberships and scheduling. Alyssa oversees the coaches and works hand and hand with Ryan Chapman and Chad Jacob on all things CBC.
Alyssa comes from an athletic background, playing varsity soccer in High School and has a love for weightlifting and the gym.
MJ Gabaldon
Pitching Coach
MJ Gabaldon
MJ is the pitching coach along side Ryan. He has been training with Ryan Chapman for the past 7 years. Through training with him for this long period of time, and pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, he has learned countless techniques and implementations to help develop players. He graduated from Mater Dei High School in 2019 and pitched for the Monarchs all 4 years. He is currently continuing his career not only in school but in baseball as well, at Orange Coast College where he started as a freshman for the Pirates.
MJ played a huge role in youth pitching and development from 2020 – 2022. He has extensive background and knowledge in this area by coaching multiple 10u-12u teams and helping with youth focused camps throughout his high school years. His goal is to create a solid foundation and a fun environment for youth kids to train in. Furthermore, he is willing to do whatever it takes to give his athletes a better understanding of pitching, so they can have the knowledge to succeed in their careers. With his training experience under Chapman and being a part of the CBC family for so long, MJ is able to commit himself to better all athletes that want to be the best at the game they love to play.
Kenny Kirkpatrick
Pitching Coach
Kenny Kirkpatrick
Kenny Kirkpatrick has a strong background in video analysis and advance scouting. Kenny has gained experience with several major league baseball teams. In 2022, he served as the Low-A Video Manager for the San Diego Padres, where he played a crucial role in preparing advance scouting reports and using analytics to create visualizations for game strategies. Kenny also worked as AAA Video and Advance Manager for the Miami Marlins in 2021 and AA Video Manager for the Los Angeles Angels in 2019.
He also has experience as a video scout associate and he holds a certificate in Pitch Design from Driveline Baseball. Kenny has completed certificate’s in Pitching Biomechanics and ArmCare Specialist from ArmCare. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Financial Planning from Colorado State University, Kenny combines his analytical skills with his passion for the game to make a meaningful impact on the athletes that come to CBC.
Andrew Martin
Hitting Coach
Andrew Martin
Andrew Martin has been a Hitting Coach here at Chapman Baseball Compound for nearly 7 years. Andrew graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from CSUF. He is currently pursuing his M.S. in Exercise Science at CSULB, where he is concentrating in the biomechanical development of baseball athletes, as well as motor control and recovery. His primary focus is to utilize extensive knowledge gained through research-based curriculum and application to compliment his coaching. Here at CBC, Andrew will continue to bridge the gap between current research and competitive training to improve the athletic development of hitters. He works alongside Chad and the hitting team to provide all athletes, youth through professional, with an understanding of what is needed for growth – to ultimately equip them with the tools to progress at CBC and on the playing field. Due to his mentorship from Ryan, his work experience, and his educational background, Andrew is able to dedicate himself to the growth of all athletes who are apart of the CBC family.

Brett Aguirre
Brett Aguirre is one of the hitting coaches atCBC. Brett began training here back in 2018, where he became a standout player at Crean Lutheran. Brett eventually fell in love with the culture and atmosphere here at CBC, and wanted to become apart of the team. Brett brings with him a lifelong passion for hitting and a commitment to learning everyday. Brett’s focus is helping hitters of all ages develop and working on all things on and off the field.

Brad Okawa serves as a strength and conditioning coach at Chapman Baseball Compound. He is currently continuing his academic career in Kinesiology at Orange Coast College. He has goals to eventually transfer to Cal State Fullerton and finish his degree. He was introduced to the weight room at a young age and has always loved the culture and environment. Throughout his baseball career, he was able to intern with many different strength. He’s extremely motivated to see athletes excel and further his understanding of the field of strength and conditioning.

Isaac Campbell
Isaac Campbell is our Strength and Conditioning Coach at Chapman Baseball compound. He is currently finishing his academic career in Kinesiology this fall at Concordia University Irvine. His goal is to obtain a Certified Strength And Conditioning Specialists certification to expand his knowledge in Strength and conditioning. In his 20 year baseball career, he played at Fountain Valley High school and then continued his education and baseball career at Santa Ana Junior College. He then transferred to Concordia University Irvine to play the remaining last two years of his baseball career. Isaac has a good background of strength and conditioning experiences from training at multiple facilities including Chapman Baseball Compound. Isaac’s goal as a Strength and Conditioning Coach is to help athletes from all ages become stronger, stay healthy and help each athlete maximize their performance.

Daniel O'Hanlon
Daniel O’Hanlon is the lead youth pitching coach at CBC. Daniel began training with Ryan Chapman 9 years ago. He is currently continuing his playing career as a pitcher at Saddleback College while pursuing a degree in kinesiology. Daniel has been coaching youth pitchers age 8-12 for the past two years at CBC. His goal is to create a fun and enjoyable space for the kids while at the same time making it an environment for kids to improve their skills.
Aron Swartz
Youth Hitting Coach
Aron Swartz
Aron Swartz joined the CBC mob in 2017 as a player and as coach in 2021. His experience in the program helps him relate with the players he works with. Aron works mainly with the youth development program where he focuses in the hitting program. Aaron graduated in 2019 from Woodbridge high school and 2022 from Irvine Valley College with an AA in Social and Behavioral Studies. He is transferring to ASU with a goal to obtain a degree in Humans Systems Engineering to further improve his credentials around the subject of coaching.
